Hey guys! Lucy Crafter Photography is having a new beginning and changing things to suit you, the client more. To kick of this change, we have changed names, have a brand new website for you to view, and blog to kick back and relax on, and introducing a whole new category in sessions. Apple Lane Studios is now open for business, and I have put the finishing touches on the website, and now ready to change over. The Lucy Crafter Photography website will be shut down in around 2 weeks as I can't quite afford to keep 2 domain names and websites up and running.

Today i got to spend time with miss M and her mum and dad, D and T. Miss M is a very cheeky little girl, with so much energy! We had a ball running around and capturing this little monkey!

One Sweet Family | Adelaide Family Photographer

Yesterday I got the pleasure to meet this gorgeous family! We had a blast while trying to contain and entertain kids, while some bribes always come in handy! We found the best locations to have some pictures done in! Only 2 sneak peeks for now, I know some of my teachers look at this blog, and I have a few assignments to do, so better pull myself away from this beautiful family, and back into the world of year 12.

Bit of Time Out | Adelaide Family Photographer

Hey Guys! I'm going to be taking a bit of time out from the business for a while. Apart from the few sessions that I already have booked I will not be doing anymore for a while. I'll let you all know when I will be back in action! Ciao!

Going to be away from the computer | Adelaide Family Photographer

Yes I am going to be away from my computer :O I Don't know what I will do, but I guess I will survive. So I won't be able to respond to emails from Thursday Night (19th March) till Sunday Night (22nd March). I'm going on a lovely trip to Kangaroo Island with my mum and a few of our family friends. And I need this break, and not shooting this weekend is somewhat of a relief to me as I have had 2 shoots every weekend for the past 2. I am still free for the weekend after the 27th and 28th. And My prices will be changing soon, I shall put them up tonight, but any sessions booked after the 5th of April will be going with the new prices. Thanks a lot guys!

Introducing Mr Serious | Adelaide Family Photographer

Today I got to venture out and meet adorable 8 month old W. The typical Adelaide weather had turned on me again! Except this was the first time in a shoot that it had. But we found a nice dry place, and went on with it all!

But he can be Cheeky too!

Look what came into my hot little hands today | Adelaide Family Photographer

A 24 inch Apple iMac! I'm so happy with it so far, but the keyboard os going to take some getting use to so please ignore any typos! Here is a little storyboard of the day. As you can see, Alfie my dog didn't seem nearly as impressed as I am with it. Mind you he still got his walk! Oh and please ignore the horrible tank top, I just jumped out of my school uniform and shoved trackies and a tank top on. The hair is still done from school too! 




The finished product! It takes up most of my desk, but I can still study. There will also hopefully be a shelf on the wall on the right tomorrow, or sometime this weekend. We bought a shelf from Ikea in around December last year. Mum has been promising to put it up for me every weekend since, but it just hasn't happened. Happy Birthday Mister L! | Adelaide Family Photographer

Today I got to meet Mister L and his gorgeous Mummy M. We had a blast down at Henley Beach, and it was just such a gorgeous day for it!  L was very cheeky and just loved the water, it took him about 2 seconds to get in, and another 2 to completely get wet! We then decided to stay away from the water by having an Icecream. 





How can you not love him?








Yes the balloons floated away, to much dissapointment! He wasn't too sure what to do, and just kept staring blankly at them!

Spunk! | Adelaide Family Photographer

These Boys defiantly have Spunk! This afternoon I got to meet up with 14 month old R & E and their big brother A, and their mum and dad S & A. I had a ball, but my legs don't think that it was that much fun, they are aching so much right now. But I just HAD to edit some (well a lot) of the pictures of these 2! As you can see, they are so different, its like day and night, and their personalities were the same too! Mr R was very impressed with me from first snap (a huge beaming smile) but Mr E thought that there was so much more interesting than me!  



These 2 have to be 2 of my favourites from the session!

Wow, I got infront of the camera | Adelaide Family Photographer

So with my aunt here, who also has the same camera as me, I got her to take a few pictures of me, as it seems I am now invisible,  never in the photos, always the one taking them. You would never think that I have been at the last 5 christmas's or even at my birthday's! Anyway, thanks AJ for taking some snaps of me, I now have a picture for the about me section of the website!


I also got an email this afternoon from the provider of my website saying that there was some new full screen templates available. So I just had to take full advantage on this. We now have BIG images on the website. Go check it out, and leave some comments here to tell me what you think, and if anything could be changed. I also made some changes to the splash page, thought it needed a revamp, even though I'm going to miss my little buddy Jamie!

Little Heartbreaker | Adelaide Family Photographer

You cannot tell me that little B will not break hearts in the future. He is such a stunner its not funny! Today I met up with this gorgeous family for a session, and while B was more than happy to run away from me, exporing his new environment, we managed to catch up to this 1 year old!











And this is what happens when Dad takes away Dad's Mobile Phone, it wasn't the best reaction we had!

Adorable Newborn Goodness | Adelaide Family Photographer

Today i had the honor of meeting this 12 day old little bundle. Isn't C just the most gorgeous thing ever? She was the most I could ask for from my first newborn session. You can never get too many pictures of the details of newborns, because they just don't last for long!

Victorian Firestorm | Adelaide Family Photographer

These fires have touched my heart, and the thought of so many lives being transformed brings tears to my eyes. I am wanting to help these poor people try to make the rebuilding stage of their life easier. Therefore I am proposing for all my session fees to the end of this month (Feb) to be donated to the Bushfire Appeal. This is 100% of my $100 session fee. If you would like to have a session with me I would like you to donate the money to the bushfire appeal and then email the recept to me at lucyc@adam.com.au and then we can start planning your session!

Yesterday, for my birthday, my neighbours came round, which included gorgeous little Jamie, who features a lot on the website! This little guy knows me a bit too well lol. His big sister asked him, what does a lion say, he said raur, she said what does a possem say, he said HISS, she asked him, what does Lucy say, PICTURE! He shouted this out so loud, I just burst into laughter, a 2 and a half year old knows me so well. I'll leave you here with a picture of Him while eating a cupcake. You have to admit, he is Gorgeous!

I have had so many entries to this competition, and all of the entries have made me smile and laugh! Its going to be really hard to find a winner in all this! I'm now booking sessions for 2009. So far I am only booking weekends, the first weekend being Saturday the 31st of January/Sunday the 1st of Feburary. This year I am ONLY booking family photoshoots on weekends, so far newborns will only be on weekends too (based on the amount of time they take) until I get details on my study timetable, then I am able to decide if I can shoot on days through the week. I'm very much looking forward to 2009, as the end of 2008 and the start of my business was very much enjoyed! I look forward to meeting more cute kids and doting parents!

I'm in need of some models to add to my portfolio. I'm looking for newborns (less than 2 weeks old) and pregnant women (around 35 weeks). Newborns I will be looking to do at your home, and the maternity models I am looking to do  some urban type pictures, and some more traditional images which can be done in your home, or outside. In offer for your time and a signed model release so I can use the images on my website, you will recieve a free session with me (valued at $100) plus a 8x10 image of your choice from the session.
